How new is this carrier's authority?

Authority age is the single best predictor of whether a carrier will take your call. Enter a USDOT number to see how long they've been authorized and what that means for your outreach.

Why authority age decides your reply rate

A motor carrier's operating authority is granted on a specific date, and the first sixty days after that date are the only stretch where the owner has no established freight relationships. That is when a dispatcher's cold email is a solution rather than an interruption. Once a carrier has been running for a year, they already have brokers they trust and a rate they accept, so the same email reads as noise.

The MCS-150 date is the companion signal. Carriers must refresh that biennial filing, and a fleet that let it go stale is frequently one that has parked its trucks.

CarrierLeads does this in reverse: every week it surfaces the authorities that just went active in your state, already verified and researched, with the first email written.
